We don't like to brag, but we will let our clients...
Dear Family and Friends,
Join us in celebrating the sale, after two long years on the market, of our house in Atlanta! We are thrilled, and still a bit exhausted from the drama of the last minute challenges right before the final closing.
In fact, we would not be celebrating this happy event were it not for the incredible support and determination of our recently recruited selling agent, Holly Berry Consentino of Berry Realty. Last May we shifted the listing, plus the responsibility for overseeing some major renovations needed to sell the place in this unfriendly market, to Holly. We were
amazed at the way she and her team delivered what they had promised, “on time and under budget.” She had said that we could trust her to accomplish the work “long distance” (we, of course, had to return to California), and to our delight, she delivered as promised. Then she followed through to land a buyer—a respectable offer, excellent credit—and we settled down to move through the one-month closing process. Then, with the rains that came to Atlanta came the drama of dealing with water in the re-carpeted basement; the bank refusing to release the loan at the very last minute pending yet further inspections…it became an emotional roller coaster. Every time we thought the situation was under control, something else threatened to de-rail the whole process. And through it all, there was Holly, pro-actively taking care of us and our interests. She never accepted “no,” for an answer, and she stayed in the conversation, reaching higher up the corporate chain in order to find the person with the authority to act reasonably and allow the closing to proceed, even though this should have been the buyer’s agent’s responsibility.
Through it all, Holly was amazing. She understands how things work—this from years of experience, and her habit of paying attention to details and following through. A lovely lady, she can be tough and “in your face” if that’s what is needed, but never offensive, always professional. We trusted her sense of when to say what, and she was never wrong.
Hopefully, none of you will require such an extraordinary range of connections and skills to buy or sell a home, but we sure were glad to have Holly on our side when the totally unexpected complications arose. Please take this as an unqualified recommendation, should you ever be considering a real estate transaction or know someone who is getting ready to sell their home.
So join us in breathing a huge sigh of relief.
Life is Good!
